The Small LED Pad is a flexible, wearable light therapy pad with 64 LEDs that combine 660 nm red light with 850 nm near-infrared light. How does LED light therapy work?

LED light therapy, also called photobiomodulation or low-level light therapy, uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate energy production in the cells. The visible 660 nm red light works on the skin and superficial tissue; the invisible 850 nm near-infrared light penetrates deeper into muscles, joints and organs. Each LED contains two 850 nm chips and one 660 nm chip. The manufacturer describes it as a safe, painless, non-invasive and drug-free form of treatment.

Continuous or pulsed

The controller offers continuous output and pulsed output at 10 Hz or 40 Hz, with three power levels (P1-P3) and a default treatment time of 20 minutes. Continuous mode is the manufacturer's choice for pain relief, wound healing, reducing inflammation and improving mobility; the 10 Hz and 40 Hz pulsed modes are offered for low- and high-frequency stimulation.
